2006 Poster

Born and raised in Southwest Michigan, Kenneth Cadwallader has devoted his life to art. Beginning his formal studies of art locally at Kendall College of Art he soon found himself studying abroad at the Royal College of Arts in London. While studying in London he was struck by the pure and simple beauty of representational impressionism and immediately knew that was the style he wanted to pursue. Taking his dreams a step further he moved to Chicago and studied at the Pallette and Chisel Academy and finally the Loveland Academy of Fine Art in Colorado.

"I'm excited to be a part of this year's Tulip Time Festival. 'Splash of Tulips' was inspired by the true beauty of the tulip. The painting encompasses the soft grace of the tulip and the joy that the Tulip Time Festival brings. Using impressionistic brush stokes, I chose subtle hues of pinks, blues, whites and greens to bring the painting alive."

For the first time our Tulip Time poster is available as a limited edition giclée canvas print. Giclée is well known in the art world and takes reproduction of an artist's painting to a new level. Each limited edition giclée of "Splash of Tulips" comes signed by the artist and includes a certificate of authenticity. Read more
