New Kid's Event at Tulip Time - 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

NEW KID’S EVENT AT TULIP TIME – 3 ON 3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

HOLLAND, MI – April 1, 2008 – Tulip Time Festival (www.tuliptime.com) is announcing the first ever Recreational Kid’s 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, held at Kinderplaats. The games will take place on Saturday, May 3rd beginning at 10:15am and on Sunday, May 4th beginning at 12:15pm. Kinderplaats is located at Window on the Waterfront Park, 6th Street at College Avenue, Holland, MI 49423.

There will be four divisions for children ages 2 through 12. Divisions will split into the following age groups: 2 through 4 year-olds, 5 through 7 year-olds, 8 through 10 year-olds, and 11 through 12 year-olds. Participants can create their own teams or Kinderplaats will assign them to one.

To register participants need to complete an online application located at www.tuliptime.com. Applications are also available at the Tulip Time office located at 238 S. River Ave, Holland, MI 49423. All registered participants can visit www.tuliptime.com after Friday, April 25, 2008 to see complete details of the times and days of their game(s).

Participants should report to the tournament site fifteen minutes before their games begin to register, receive instructions, and receive their jerseys. All 3-on-3 participants will receive a participant certificate; teams will not play toward a championship. Each participant must purchase a Kinderplaats wristband for $5, available on site, which will be good for all events in Kinderplaats. Basketball hoops will be age appropriate with the younger children using smaller, lower hoops and the older teams using larger basketball hoops at a lower level. Each game will be timed.
