TULIP TIME WELCOMES NETHERLANDS AMBASSADOR
HOLLAND, MI – Thursday, May 3, 2007– Tulip Time is pleased to announce that Netherlands Ambassador Mr. Christiaan Mark Johan Kröner will be visiting this year’s Tulip Time Festival. “The Ambassadors visit is a great honor to the Festival and the City of Holland,” states Tulip Time Executive Director Tamra Bouman. “We are delighted he is joining us during this celebration of Dutch heritage and we look forward to showcasing our community.”
Ambassador Kröner has had a long career with the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has served as the Ambassador of the Netherlands to several countries including France, Italy and Israel. In August of 2006 Mr.Kröner became Ambassador to the United States.
According to Mayor Al McGeehan, “The City of Holland is most pleased to welcome Ambassador Kröner to Tulip Time 2007. The Ambassador’s visit is a visible sign of the common heritage and deep friendship which exists between The Netherlands and our city of Holland, Michigan.”
While visiting Holland the Ambassador hopes to participate in several Tulip Time events as well as meet with area officials.
