First Bloem Poster Competition

The First Bloem Festival Artwork Competition is an annual event hosted by Tulip Time to select the official poster for the festival. Artists from Ottawa, Allegan, Kent, Muskegon, and Kalamazoo counties are invited to submit up to three works. The winning artwork will not only become the official festival poster but will also be featured on Tulip Time merchandise.

Art in Bloem Exhibit

The Art in Bloem exhibit showcases the Top 20 artworks chosen by this year's juror Catherine Mott, Assistant Director at the Muskegon Museum of Art. These pieces celebrate tulips through diverse styles and techniques, offering visitors a vibrant and creative interpretation of the festival’s theme. This exhibit highlights the talent of local artists and provides a unique opportunity to experience tulip-inspired art in an engaging and inclusive setting.

Event Details

The official Festival Artwork will be revealed in March 2026, and the remaining 19 finalist pieces will be displayed during Tulip Time. This interactive experience allows attendees to celebrate creativity while contributing to the festival’s artistic legacy.

Viewers’ Choice Award
Visitors can participate in the Viewers’ Choice Award by voting for their favorite artwork during the festival. The winner of this award will be announced on Saturday, May 9, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, offering a special moment to recognize the community’s favorite piece.
